A man rushes into a synagogue to say kaddish (prayer for the dead) during the morning service when it is required to wear t’fillin (phylacteries). He has forgotten to bring his own and he sees a pair on a table, so he starts to put them on. Another man nearby says, “Pardon me mister, but those are Rabbi’s Tam’s t’fillin.” The first man replies, “That’s OK. I will put them back as soon as we say kaddish.”
