I’m sure you will agree with me after watching it, but any video shopwing two grown men ogling over a girl at her bat mitzvah is right up there on the list of creepy videos. Like all secular Jewish videos, there is a scene with manichevetz, some old folks from Florida and some really fake peyos. I’m sure the video was made to be creepy and that’s where it excels, as for entertaining, I can’t say I’m going to be watching it over and over.
For the record Bat Mitzvbah’s are not in the Torah and real frummies don’t do em…
Find out more about bat mitzvah’s on 4torah.com

Total crap. Do people think, hey I’m not that funny and not that musical, but I bet if I put them together it’ll be magic.
Do you think, ‘hey I’m not that insightful and don’t know entertainment when i see it cuz im an old fart but if i post about it maybe people will like my bullcrap?’
Why? Did you make the video?
The video sucks balls, in all aspects.
Friggin pedophiles. Don’t be surprised when they get arrested.
A) It’s sketch comedy! It’s not to be taken seriously.
B)They’re playing off the fact that we call these Bat Mitzvah Girls “women.” If you’re gonna call a 12-year-old girl a woman, don’t be shocked when someone makes fun of it.
C) It’s not a Bat Mitzvah for ‘frummies.’ The Bat Mitzvah party is clearly that of a reformed Jew–the frummies are just the entertainment at the party.
D) I thought this video was pretty hilarious. The Menorah Boyz are not a real group. This is not a serious song. It’s comedy. Lighten up!
Rechal,
That crap ain’t funny at all, at least in my opinion. It’s done in poor taste.
Yoreh,
Humor is relative. You may not think it’s funny, but I bet the younger generation does. These are Jewish comedians who made a fake song about Bat Mitzvahs. It’s not malicious! Also, they are also mocking boy bands. Think for a second about the creepiness of boy bands (Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, etc.) and their love songs marketing toward tween girls. Anything can (and frankly should) be joked about. Why would this group get arrested? Is sketch comedy illegal? The second we are not allowed to poke fun at society is the second we give up our basic human freedoms.
Rechal,
Maybe I’m just an old geezer. I don’t think these “creeps” qualify as comedians, again my opinion. I’m no fan of boys bands either. I have no trouble poking fun at society, I do so quite often.
Yes, you probably are. Let this be your introduction to the new, less uptight generation!
I agree with Yoreh. As part of the “younger generation” I wasn’t humored by this video. There is nothing funny about 2 creepy men eying an preteen girl in a concupiscent way, especially when they mention that they want to get down with her. What is so funny about that? Its no different than some floozy making a music video giving the bar mitzvah boy a lap dance in her brasseirs. It just validates pedophilia. You may have gotten some good laughs out of this music video but there are sick minded individuals out there who have sexual fantasies about children. Besides, since when did entering adulthood define you as a slut? That’s what the guys in the video implied. If you are going to do a racy parody and make a video out of it, do not include underage children in it. And don’t use it to mock religion with it either.
lol u mad bro? you’re takin this too seriously my dude
Rechal,
OK, I’m technically not a geezer yet, only mid 30’s 😉
Couldn’t agree with you more
“For the record Bat Mitzvbah’s are not in the Torah and real frummies don’t do em…”
For that matter, Bar Mitzvahs are not in the Torah, either, and as for what real frummies do or don’t do, I’ll go by the practice of my real frum neighbors who hold them. Yes, frum Bat Mitzvas are not like Bar Mitzvahs. They’re usually held at the home by the family, not at shul, but they do have them.
^^^ WOW, someone who calls THEMSELF an Upikoors; small world : )
most claim their Zadik Nister(hidden); and now behold one who is a Conservative (hiding/concealed) Upikoors.
If the guys were like 14 or the song was better it might be funny.
Right now it’s just dumb.
okay, bat mitzvahs aren’t in the torah? so women aren’t required to perform any commandments?
ok yeah after watching this it is a bit creepy, but also funny. good for reform jews i guess. it’s a shame that bat mitzvahs aren’t given the same significance in orthodoxy— there’s really no reason they shouldn’t be.
Not funny. Even reform Jews are not stupid and they protect their children. Maybe these guys need to think of their future life as a eunuch. Plenty of religious opportunities there once they are transformed. If they touch my granddaughter, they will find out how many.
Get over yourself! They are joking–the fact that you are serious in your sentiment’s shows me that you have a severely dangerous mind. I’d be scared to have any of my family members around you! Why don’t you get transformed. Way to be a real mensch.
this song/video has an identity crisis, on one hand it has relevant harmless humour, esp during the candle-lighting scene “…8 is for your camp friends, 9 is for your real friends, 10 is for your sister rachel, 11 is for your brother ben…” but IMO it’s about 10 years too late. the boy band craze has been over for some time and i was struggling to connect some of their gestures and movements to what theyre really attempting to poke fun at…not to mention, doesnt a girl have bat mitzva at 12 rather than 13?
“not to mention, doesnt a girl have bat mitzva at 12 rather than 13?”
In the non-Orthodox world, they hold the ceremony at age 13, so that both the boys and the girls in the same class are having them during the same year.
Not the next Maccabeats.
i would not be suprised if these guys were registered sex offenders
Ha! Thoroughly enjoyed this. Especially the candle lighting. And I have my share of shirts with initials on them LOL!!!
That is very creepy. There’s so many things wrong with it lol
for one, frum people don’t even go to a non-frum simcha.
And the whole thing in general is weird.
“for one, frum people don’t even go to a non-frum simcha.”
Guess again. I was at a non-frum bar mitzvah just this past Shabbos, and a very nice very frum family were sitting at our table. I’m sure Papa davened somewhere else, but he came to the simcha for the son of his neighbor. In fact, one of my frum neighbors was very explcit about this when my wife and I asked her whether we should invite her to our daughter’s bat mitzvah.
“Of course,” she said, “just make sure you use a kosher caterer. The men might not come for the service, but of course we want to help celebrate your simcha.” In fact, I got the tone that she was even a little hurt that we felt that their being frum meant that we couldn’t invite them. See, in the real world, the actual rank-and-file Jews, whether Orthdox or not, realize that we’re all Jews together and share a common destiny.
You guys–grow up–seriously! This isn’t a matter worth arguing/fighting about–especially on the freaking internet. Yes, it is considered humor. Some may find it funny–some may not. Too bad–and move on.
FYI the whole thing is a joke. It’s not creepy at all.
Notice how they were having mini hot dogs, and then they served pizza!!!
