Hat tip to Elke Reva Sudin for pointing me to the following video, a punk rock song about giving your pain in the neck wife a get. Hilarious, though a little dark on the humor side and I am sure someone will probably throw the Chillul Hashem line at them as more people see this video. The Groggers – clever name for a Jewish punk band.

Tzitzes and no Kippa, ok.
Whoever those kids are they’ll be kicked out of their yeshivos soon.
Tzitzis without yarmulkes is so punk rock – it’s like wearing a sheitle and a halter top
There is a pro-skateboarder named Mike Vallely who was wearing a pair of tzitsis while skating in a skate video segment. Mike, to my knowledge, is not jewish, let alone frum, so I can only speculate as to why he had them on…..
I noticed the exact things that you did!
I had to look for the Kippas, but I found them.
Regarding the kids, my thoughts were “They’re gonna be scarred for life!”
tzitzit are diareisa, kippas arent, either way, it looks like they have their heads covered
The lead singer has a kipa on the back of his head. You can’t really see it from the front.
A clean-cut guy whining/singing about divorce because he’s too lazy to watch his kids? Please. My 1000 sheet, 1 ply toilet paper is more punk rock than this. It’s also made from recycled paper and therefore, beats The Groggers in having a positive impact on this planet.
Dead Kennedys. Black Flag. Joy Division. Do your homework on musical genres, people.

That’s hilarious and actually a great social critique. I totally loved the kids at the end of the song. As far as the lyrics go, I’m not sure how getting a divorce if it’s warranted is a chilul hashem; you’re a terrible husband and a terrible father – it’s time to man up or leave.
Check out The ‘Get’ Rap.
Here’s the chorus:
“Did did you get the Get?
Oh yeh I got it done
You see I copped a plea
at the Bet Din, officially
They cut it for me
The male hierarchy
They told me I could be free
If I paid them a fee …”
Wow that’s even more hilarious
I love the title of the album — “There’s No I in Cherem”.
I *love* this! Very clever.
Very cool vid..love anything that can mash up punk rock with yiddishkeit…
Are they available for simchas?
hah hah!! this should be the anthem for solving the agunah crisis we have today. keep up the good work guys 🙂
hey heshy, i’m baaack! these guys are so sexy. hook me up!
I like the shaved headed frummie kids with the scruffy MO father! The mini van is so Monsey too!
Do snood wearing women marry guys in blue shirts?
Did the kids say “Hi Tati!” or “Bye Tati” in the end?
Sounds like Hi Tati to me…
no they said Bye Tatty
I believe the reason ‘he’ has to give ‘her’ a GET is b/c he’s a bad husband and they’re forcing him to give her a GET so she can be divorced from him. He’s not just dropping her.
these guys srent ppunk rock there all losers i dnt see anyone listing to song about a get what teenager will like this music maybe if the sing about something relavent they will do better
The “tati” is super fine, even if he is a cad.
