Yesterday at about 11am I get a call from my good friend Matthue Roth telling me he has a layover in San Francisco, so off to the airport I go and we just take a nice walk up and down Valencia Street talking about life, writing and San Francisco – when suddenly in the midst of my four barrel latte I am assulated by this brilliant and amazing work of art.

my father once had beautiful graffiti on the door to his factory. a gentile and his girlfriend were passing by his factory one day and the guy asked my father if he could buy the door off him. so my father told him that he can take the door as long as he buys a new one to take its place. it seems that this guy was a collector of graffiti art
