But for Jews who love to complain.
Great. Now they’re going to spout their mouths off concerning topics they know entirely nothing about and give an extremely stupid impression.
Read the article “The rise of the hot jewish girl” from Details magazine. It’s kind of sad and disgraceful.. but supposedly there are a lot of other people who agree with these women.
“I don’t think i like Palin because she’s not a learned women” Shut the fuck up bitch. These jewish secular liberals make me sick. Oh she goes shooting oy vey… Thats it drive away the few non jews out there that have some positive feelings towards us. How sad is it when non jews are more passionate about Israel than some of our own kind, regardless of their motives. When will these poor excuses for jews like Portman/Srteisand wake up and realize that their spineless defeatist approach will not reduce anti semitisim. Didn’t the Shoa teach these twats anything. Oh but I’m a humanitarian I send money to Africa…Oh and I met the Dali lama..Dosen’t that make me a good jew. Oh and I’m also a member of the anti war movement…You don’t say..really you could have fooled me.
Funny you say that. I ran across something once in the Mishne Torah about how women really shouldn’t go out of the house more than once or twice a month. Not sure what the context was, but considering it was written in 12th century Muslim Egypt… There are lot’s of unexpected practices that have fallen by the wayside over time, and I think just as many which have sprung up.
Actually, a lot of my friends (especially non-jews) think Jewish guys are really hot. Something to do with a Jew-fro or facial hair that gets women stirring ;P
Uh, no Judy, he and his friends don’t “love to pick up jewish women” he actually meant he’d love to pick you up, cause your hot(but nice try) . Heck, If I wasn’t warried I’d do her like they do it on the discovery channel(with her consent of course).
Disclaimer:I do apologize to anyone offended by my rude humor, I know I deserve a good slap
Heshy, you are so right, Jewish women are not pretty at all, look how ugly this one standing next to me is. It will work wonders for your dating life when Jewish women (whom I assume you would like to marry) read that you think Jewish women in general are not hot/ pretty.
A bunch of middle aged douchebags cackling about stupidity. I thought what made Jewish women hot was the fact that they put out less than shiksas.
Anyway, I’m far from being an expert on the topic.
You are kind of making a case for intermarriage when you make that statement. If botox , heavy makeup, size 4, big breasts and sexy outfits passes for beauty then it comes to show me how superficial and shallow head you people are. Jewish women who safeguard modesty don’t put themselves out there for others on purpose. And why should we put on a presentation for strangers? We don’t go about advertising our sexuality to the public. We pride ourselves on our self respect and we deserve credit rather than ridicule. It was you men who mandated stringent modesty rules for us and now you prefer we sex it up( or make off with some platinum blond WASP) and then blame global crisis on our lack of modesty. So if Jewish women are not desirable for marriage, then what is the alternative solution? Become gay? You people are full of shit!!
first sarah palin is not that bad, saw her on oprah, she explained a lot of the behind the scene things that were really going on, and how the media painted her in a way that always was negitive. “She is not Learned”?? are any of these women learned? granted she is not the brightest sure, but when has that been a prerequisite for office? the house and the senete are filled with dumbass men and women… joe biden is pretty damn stupid too.
that women as arrested because she refused to go, its not like she put a tallis on and bam the police just scooped he up, she was causing a ruckus and should have been arrested, she was out there to disrupt and cause strife, not for the sake of heaven. Not for the sake of the Torah she held. she disgraced the Torah by using it to cause division. the kotel is run and maintained by the orthodox, so even if you don’t agree, don’t come in and think you run things. have some respect for other peoples beliefs. you don’t see frumkeit going up into the local “temple” to rip tallis off of women or put up a mehitzah… this lady came to a holy place run and operated by frumkeit and she got what she deserved.
I’m with FrumGer on this one. She intended to cause disrespect to Judaisms holiest sight.
What do you think would happen if I were to attempt disgracing islam on the Temple Mount? You’d probably have arab riots and the entire world in an uproar.
Are we sure that her intent was to disrespect the Kotel or the Torah? I have read some reports of this incident but I don’t know the whole story. Is taking a stand on alternative expressions of Jewish prayer behaviors considered disrespectful to Judaism, or did she really confront people and conduct herself in an undignified manner? Did those opposed conduct themselves in a dignified manner, or did they throw stones and incite more fear and violence? I fear both sides may bear responsibility for how the situation escalated (though I understand these women broke the established rules of conduct for the Kotel).
I agree that a similar action at the Temple Mount would incite violence from some in the Arab Muslim world. It’s idealistic and probably unrealistic of me, but I would hope we could strive for a higher level of discourse in a Jewish reaction.
Women wearing a tallit is permissible according to Rambam. Just take a look at the section in Sefer HaAhava on tallit – very interesting stuff. Ever seen a camel hair tallit with camel hair tzitzit?
And Rashi’s daughter wore tefillin. In general, these are no longer accepted by mainstream ortho Judaism.
According to Rambam, we may eat boiled wheat on Pesach. We may also have the court beat our wives for not washing our feet, as well as beat shopkeepers that raise they prices above the market average. I can’t see any Beth Din enforcing these laws today.
Your point? That our Minhagim and Bethai Din are screwed up these days? That we sit in chairs in Shul and only do real nephilat appayim on Yom Kippur? Like wrapping your hand in a cloth or bag and eating bread without washing – every decently educated person knows it’s permissible, but you’ll almost never see anyone do it – due to social orthodoxy. It’s like women not wearing pants; clearly not an issue of cross dressing as mens / womens clothing is relative to the contemporary society and it’s not a tzniut issue unless the pants are tight – also social orthodoxy.
The point is that via social orthodoxy people are committing a big sin – they are adding and subtracting from the Torah. How many times have I heard someone give my wife the BS line that not covering her hair is a d’oryta issur?
If I went to a Beth Din and demanded that they beat my wife for not washing my feet ( assuming I had proper eidut, etc. ) the only legitimate halachic basis they could use for refusal would be that due to the secular state they don’t have the authority to carry out the sentence. The Beit Yosef himself says it’s perfectly permissible for anyone to choose Rambam as their authority and follow him.
I guess we can call it social orthodoxy. Somewhere in time. someone (a valid authority) decided that certain things aren’t really practiced any more, and the new minhag stuck.
That’s where you get issues like kitniyot, gebroks which are clearly no longer viable, although they are still in effect.
I wonder if having your wife or a storekeeper beaten by beth din is still halachically acceptable in countries like Iran, where it’s probably the norm…
no one was throwing stones, that women had no right to do what she did, she was only arrested for questioning… then released.
the bigger problem was intent– this was a conservitive girl, who knew better, but wanted to “shake things up.” then they lied about it, trying to cover their tracks. they said they were only taking the scroll up to robinson arch where they usually daven. but they actually took the Torah out and was beginning to read it right there.
She broke the law to prove a point, its a common law and she is from Israel so she knew it, so did other memebers of W.O.W. but they did it as if to say “we are taking over here…” what if the beit hamikdash was rebuilt would they try to bumrush the kadosh kadoshim to prove a point?
that girl wants to live her life as an apikoros, thats her choice, but do not disrespect the kotel the holiest site in judaism.. for politics
Chazal knew that women are proned to witchcraft, this is a good example.
a religious women in the singular is usually very logical and no problem. women in a religious group that is tied closely to male leadership is usually fine too. but women in a religious group all of their own accord with no male leadership and – “troubles a brewwin”
there are exceptions however..
but overall that is why women can’t lead our religion, why hahsem doesn’t want to women to lead our religion. thats why they have a different role. if you give a group of women an inch and do not keep them accountable in my expirience and they will not only get off the derech they will change the derech.
go into average conservitive shul today, garanteed to see more women get aliyahs then men, men are so weakened they take a back seat in order to show how egal they are.. women have their roles, men have theirs, men happen to be the leaders of women, especially spiritually.
that is not to say women are unimportant, kabbalic text talk very highly of the importance of the feminine. they are great and we could not lead without the intuition and emotional touch of a great women..
but when we as men dont lead, they will freak out and get off into crazyland as sure as im breathing.
estrogen causes higher emotional expiriences, and emotions can skew logic. men are colder more rational, more logical, this is documented. (exceptions of course)
look at the salem witch trials for example if you don’t believe me. there has to be balance there has to be both the masculine and the feminine.
Jezebel ruled Ahab- he was a weak man, and would not take his place, and look at the damage it caused. i blame the men for this though not the women. if a women gets off it because men have let them down somewhere. (exceptions of course)
it seems to me,
that men can’t have anything for theirself. anything to define who they are as men. we cant have tefillin or tallis, aliyot, we cant even have a bar mitzvah, or the role of rabbi, we cant have anything that says, “reserved for men” without some feminist group trying to hack down the door and throw a burning bra in our face while quoting some silvia plath whith the ferverency of someone speaking in tongues.
liberal weak minded men and witchcraft proned women have tried to skew the lines so much and have tried for so long to take from us everything that says you are a jewish man. i am waiting to see how women women are going to pull off stealing a bris milah from us as well. men are men women are women. be proud of who you are and the role Hashem has for you.
Side note-
and if you look at the girl that got arrested, she has even tries to look like a man, and she probably “beds like a man” if you know what i mean…
What a waste of time I’ll never get back. These people are more american than anything else. They have lost the concept of being jewish. How could that be a trend?
Michaltastik, no not at all, I am quite happily married, my wife would agree with everything that wrote, and she is no subservient women either. i love my wife very much and would be nothing without her, but that doesn’t change the fact that women in a religious setting, need leadership and accountability.
they are too spiritual, and emotional and if you dont have the balance of the spiritual and the Torah, you get loopy cooky flakes. men are given to this too but not nearly as much.
heres a story for example
a couple months ago, my wife’s sister and her mother where talking about a semi serious situation in our family, and during that time that was all they ever talked about, they talk about it so much that it was like listening to garbage spew out of their mouth.. they work each other up so much into a frenzy of gossip all the time that they start demonizing another member of their family. like a c0uple jackels picking over carrion.
when they were over to our house- my wife, who has had nothing to do with it and is not a very mean gossipy women either- got caught up in it too! they where going on and on about it so that she started talking like them and agreeing with them.. it was like a tornado of lashon hora.. borderline evil…
after a while i heard enough and went in there and started pointing out how they are overreacting and showed how the person was not as guilty as it seemed. as soon as I stepped in my wife started seeing the logic, and changed her opinion (my wife is not the meek humble women that just agrees with me because I am a man) her opinion changed because after i stepped in she could see it was lashon hora… afterwards, she was very sorry for even getting caught up in it, and said, she didn’t know why , they were just talking about it so much it was almost like she got confused, and just got caught up in it ..
that situation needed a man’s logic and leadership, this happens alot with women. they get theirself worked up to a whirlwind and can be very destructive. also my wife’s sister, was being manipulative, controling the situation and keeping it going for her own reasons.
I see these things all the time, i am sure if other men thought carefully they would have similar stories.
just like men are easily lead away by lust, women are easily lead away by witchcraft. (exceptions of course) its just how it is.
i repeat i need my wife. her intuition, forsight, and emotions i need. i trust my wife’s opinion greatly on things- she is generally a great women that loves people and loves Hashem. but like me she needs me too. she needs my wisdom, my steadfastness, and my ability to see past emotion and look at situations with logic and soundness of mind.
and of course there are role reversals in this, but over all i say i am right on this.
oh great another channel where women bitch about stupid stuff.. its the view #2
But for Jews who love to complain.
Great. Now they’re going to spout their mouths off concerning topics they know entirely nothing about and give an extremely stupid impression.
Of course Jewish women are be attractive. They’re channel 1 on Cox Cable.

really? was there nothing better to post?
It was a favor

george, you’re on target. every word you said is gold. at least i’m not alone in my views of these arrogant jewish liberals
I found it hilarious when they said Jewish women stay home, that’s the tradition…. Ummmmmmmmm, not in the Orthodox world!

Yes… Jewish men are soooooooooooooooooo hot!
