While I am fluent in yeshivish, I have always found its use in casual conversation deeply pretentious. It makes sense to use Hebrew or Aramaic phrases when they are immediately relevant and aid clarity, but often times they sound like an in-clique jargon that is being used for no purpose other than to identify outsiders, and for counting coup in the “look how Jewish I am” department. One caveat: I lived in Israel for many years and use it (or phrases from it) with family and other Hebrew speakers when they would better express my point. I’m just cognizant of the fact that most people will miss that added nuance and consider my audience.
I’ve been teaching my wife yeshivish so she can blend in with the FFB’s, full on infiltration is always fun when they realize you grew up eating weinerschnitzel.

Am I the only one who hates when Hebrew/Yiddish is used when a perfectly appropriate English word is available? “Financial Matzav” WTF

Even a gullible gal like me can recognize that this is not real, but still hysterically funny.
He should set up a PayPal. 😛

The little “donation” in the lower right corner?
Man, that’s cold.
Yeah, that was kind of the point of the post…
Ok, now I get it. I didn’t see what was funny until the lower-right corner was pointed out by Nuran.
Hysterical!
This is the funniest pic I’ve seen in a while. Cant get it out of my head.
