  1. I am a married woman. Mikvah night is far from my favorite night of the month. A man who hasn’t had sex in over a week isn’t going to last as long as a man who has had sex that morning, so the night always ends with with him close to tears and going, “I’m sorry! Was that OK? Really? I just got so excited I….” The real event is the night (or morning) AFTER the mikvah, when a great time is had by all. Also, the drive home from the mikvah is a bit of a pain since there is all of this anticipation and someone is BOUND to say something to ruin the mood.

I completely hear Heshy on the subject of how to work mikvah night around kids. The sad truth is that I may look frum as they come, but I am completely off the derech on the subject of peru u’rivu. I got married to have kosher sex, and I don’t need screaming (or giggling) kids interrupting my orgasms. Just one person’s view.
