This may be my last post as a single man…

Heshy Fried self portraitIn preparation for my wedding this coming Sunday, I spent the last 3 days in the woods. A 26 mile solo backpack in the Ypsemiote high country, followed by some good hitchhiking to get back to my car and a day riding my bike at Mammoth Bike Park rounded out my idea of a mighty fine bachelor party. As can be expected, I’m not sure if I’ll be blogging or not, so I won’t officially be taking a blog-cation.

Of course, you all may want to join  in the celebrations and you can do so in a few ways. First, you can buy us a wedding gift from our registry with REI or Bed Bath and Beyond. You can also throw us some kesef in paypal (frumsatire@gmail.com). We will be having a big old semi-public sheva brachos in NYC on the 21st (email me for details) which you can come to, but only if you take the step to email me.

    1. If someone is willing to donate the honeymoon we will take it, otherwise we have to work like normal people who don’t have parents who pay for everything.

Who needs to travel when you have an internet?

BTW — Mazal Tov. The wedding will be fantastic, I’m sure. As long as people show up, no one gets drunk, and videos are not posted to youtube, you’ll be fine. So will it be casual? formal? big? are you doing the cooking? Did you hire any belly dancers?

  1. Tiel says you’d better take a break after your wedding or she’ll have to smack you upside the head on your Bride’s behalf.

  2. B’shaah tovah!

May I point out – don’t stop doing solo hikes (at least short ones) just because you get married. I am ever grateful that my lovely wife realizes how important that is for me, even if only rarely. Don’t abuse it; but don’t give it up either. It is an important way of how you, personally, feed your soul.

  3. You deserve a good beating. I’d refute what you’d say but I don’t pay compliments to the appearance of other men’s wives. Really, you are owed a beating in the face under redneck rules of procedure.
