A bonobo monkey went to the doctor. “You are 98.7% human,” the doctor told him.
“It can’t be,” the monkey cried in disbelief. “The humans are killing each other on a massive scale, and destroying my habitat in the process.”
“I’m afraid it’s true,” the doctor said. “Your test results do not lie.”
The monkey went home a mess of confusion. “What’s for dinner?” he asked his wife distractedly.
“Hamburgers,” she said.
The monkey bit into his rare burger and as the juices dripped down his chin he mopped them up with a napkin. “Delicious,” he said.
The cow’s relatives will be sitting shiva at the Hochberg ranch in New Goshen, New York for the remainder of the week.
this is a silly a post as any to ask a general question. i’ve never been to NYC, but i was googling kosher delis and it looks like all of them are not “really” kosher (ie: glatt). anyone know of any real kosher delis in NYC?
What part of the city? Viliamsburg? Bura Park? Fletbush? Or the Treife Menhetan?
New York Cities most famous “kosher” delis are mostly not kosher anymore – some of them used to be and some of them were never.
Katz’s and 2nd avenue deli are two notable delis that are not really kosher. Fact is that with Edna’s closing in Brooklyn there are hardly any real kosher delis left – most of them claim to be delis but serve sushi and other non-deli fare.
The best kosher deli in NY by far is Gottliebs in Williamsburg – definitely worth checking out is Grand Deli in Manhattan on grand street and Deli Kasbah on the upper west side is Israeli/deli and a moshiach place so it’s super interesting.
Also Mr. Broadway around 38th street.
