With so much negativity in the talkback section of my blog lately I find it kind of strange to be wishing you a happy new year, but after looking at my stats for the last few weeks, I realize that the negativity is from only 10 repetative commenters that cannot understand why I want to grow my hair long, or eat free food, but since on average 3000 unique people are visiting this site a day and not commenting I feel a bit better by doing this.
If I offended you in any way, I hope you will forgive me, or at least realize that life is a test and I have no idea if I am passing with flying colors or failing miserably (I am sure some of you have an opinion) but I life is good thank God and God has provided me with a talent that I can use to help people and hopefully make a living from someday.
I know I offend people, it runs in the family, my father is a outspoken critic of any thing left wing or too frummie as ar many of his siblings. But I hope you can realize that I am not trying to offend, I am just speaking my mind and exaggerating a little in the process to bring smiles to your faces. Obviously not everyone agrees – but isn’t that the point of blogging.
New Years resolutions:(I hope they aren’t all supposed to be torah related)
This year I want to write a book and get it published, I just got a literary agent and have been working on my outline.
I want to start learning Torah more often
I want to make a living from this blog and writing
I want to try and go to minyan more often
I want to use my influence for a better good – I like getting people jobs and work
I want to visit my mothers grave more often
I want to hang out with my dad more often
I want to appreciate and think about God more often
I grant mechilah to all of you and hope all of you can grant me the same

This is a great post heshy, i wish you a shanatova umetukah and a ketiva vechatima tovah…
oh btw in one of your post you said you were in sales infront of a computer all day, and in another post you mentioned you were in the car business., what is funny about that is my job is in sales in the car business.
i sell internet management systems for car dealerships. we have a single point upload system that sends our dealerships cars data and photos to 25 retail sites daily, build and maintain a website for them, give them a craigslist posting tool that allows car dealerships to post to craigslist with out writing ads, we use a template system that post with the click of a button. also we post autmatically to OVE.com Manheims site. we give them window sticker program, buyers guide program, buying order program, and a thousand other things for dealerships.. what part of the car industry are you in, something similar? or car sales?
either way i hope you make it writting- this blog is great and would love to see you make it for a living.
And to everyone that i have every said something negitive to or about- i hope you can forgive me…. i wish to have no offense coming into the new year and through my teshuvah process in general this year…
This is a beautiful post! As frumger said: shanatova umetukah and a ketiva vechatima tovah…

I want to use my influence for a better good – I like getting people jobs and work
Hesh
Wow thst’s a tall task considering you’d have to find a job for about %90 of the commenters
nice one hesh
Nice post Hesh. Sorry about your Mom. I was one of those who wondered why you were so excited by free food and why you would voluntarily try and look like borat but I didnt consider my comments negativity. Was genuinly puzzeled thats all.
Anyway Shana Tova. I hope all your dreams are fullfilled, and if you cycle on shabat, u can come to my house for shabbat lunch any time u like and gorge yourself on as much free food as u like. (I live in flatbush).
Shana Tova to Heshy and all the commenters here!
5770 has already started out as a mixed bag for me. Got news that a family member in the US died and there’s no way I can make it to the funeral. That plus getting turned down for another job. OTOH, a new year is upon us and surely good things will happen too.
