Kugel Attack in Meah Shearim!!!

So instead of setting aside stones to throw at people not obeying their chumros, the Charedim in Meah Shearim are using potato kugel. Well at least according to this Yeshiva World News article with the same title as above. Of course I cannot find anything about this anywhere on the web, so lets just think its some sort of joke, a funny one at that.

This Rabbi was attacked by Meir Pourish supporters who are pissed they lost. I wonder if this will happen in America when all the McCain supporters form some sort of revolution-armed with kishke and kugel they will fight against the liberal oppressors.

I guess they couldn’t get the stones in shul and they picked up the best thing to throw, hey at least it wasn’t a shulchan aruch attack, that would have hurt real bad.

I wrote about this issue once in my guide to Jewish food fights.

  1. Wait liberal oppressors? Man I can’t keep up. I was always taught it was the conservative oppressors running our lives and taking away our right to abortion.

  2. Mike: No, the honey makes them too slippery to throw.

If they’re really nasty they could be throwing sheeps heads. Those can bruise. Hence why I’m on my best behavior around frummies during Rosh Hashonah.

  3. That’s not so funny. It’s actually pretty sad and a big chillul Hashem. (OK, it’s a little funny…)

Also, saying that “Hareidim in Mea Shearim attack with stones” is like saying “Modern Orthodox in New Jersey are breaking Shabbos, kashrus, negia, etc.” A few individuals or a segment of the group at most does outrageous things, and the majority is greatly embarrassed by them. At least in case of Hareidim.

  4. Their kugel probably tasted like s**t, otherwise they wouldn’t be throwing it (baal tashchis).

Speaking of s**t, my brother in law was at the kotel once many years ago, these kids were throwing feces at people who were underdressed according to meah shearim standards. He said it was the worst thing he had ever seen in Israel.

  5. What a waste of burned kishke, it works great as a hockey puck.

Hoped they used really greasy yerushalmi kugal
