Don’t worry folks I didn’t enter the world of the snags, I just make fun of the whole chabad vs. misnagdim affair in this video filmed in Dallas. The title is just get people curious!

old
Saw that one before. Did you know that the Alter Rebbe was from Lithuania? I guess that would make Lubabs Litvish…
you really need to make more videos, these ar egetting old
The fourth person saying that I’ve already seen this. I’m telling you Heshy, you have to stagger the release of your material. Instead of posting 5 or 6 on those days when you’re in the zone, keep yourself at a 2 or 3 a day max posting and then BANK the rest.
Currently known as Torah Academy of Bergen County, or TABC, the original name was Torah Institute of Teaneck. When they first learned what that was short for, they changed it to Torah Academy of Teaneck. Then, when the school decided to expand, they changed Teaneck to Bergen County.
Another funny one is ASHAR (Adolf H. Schreiber Hebrew Academy of Rockland County). This school’s original name was Schreiber Hebrew Institute of Torah. They HAD to change that one.
And here’s one my Dad told me about. Kushner Yeshiva High School (KYHS). The Grade School is called Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy (JKHA). When they first had the idea to start a High School, they were considering calling it Joseph Kushnew Hebrew Academy High School (JKHAHS). My Dad was at the board meeting where they vetoed that name. I believe it was Mr. Kushner himself who said that he’s not sitting on the board for a school whose name sounds like “Jackass”, so they changed it to KYHS.
I don’t think its a matter of staggering the videos. Honestly for me personally I think Hesh is a better youtube film maker then he is a writer. The videos are far more entertaining. Keep on writing, just make more videos.
I like the writing just as much as I like the videos (a lot! This is one of my favorite blogs). The spelling, grammar, and usage could be improved though 🙂
I have never posted this video on my blog before!
Everyone has a different opinion, but its the silent content majority of 2000 daily readers that win. Once I start getting 500 comments on a post complaining then maybe I will change.
As for videos or writing, I post what I want to – don’t know if you noticed – but I haven’t posted more then 3 times per day in some time. Most days last week it was only once a day.

Matzah in cherem. HaHa
I, too, have seen this clip, though I cannot recall when or where. Honestly, I found it less than comical the first time.
“the silent content majority” couldn’t care less and come and go with nary a whisper.
Seen it before, but I gotta hand it to you, I laughed again!
att phil– u just wish u were lubavitch.
Mushkie,
I guess you don’t read the blog too often. I live in a big Chabad community, daven there 3 times a day, went to Lubavitch Yeshiva since 1st grade, and my kids go there too.
In case you didn’t know, the Alter Rebbe really was from Lithuania, but I guess they don’t teach that in Beis Rivkah.
Win.
(Yes, I know this post is old, but I had some catching up to do. 😉
we (in chabad) learn mesilas yesharim too. just not most of it.
to mushkie and phil
as am old time lubav, i mut say phil is much closer to the truth;
while the AR was NOT from lithuania but from Liozna which is in BelaRus (used to be knows as white russia or bela russia)
to his polish coleagues in mezirich (correct spelling), anyone from that area was a ‘LITVAK’ which is what he was called,
hence us lubavs being the real litvak compared to the conglomeration who r called litvish though they r mostly of hungarian ancestry but just learned in ‘litvishe’ yeshivos
that is the reason that in chabad circles non chasidim r never called litvish – it wouldnt be much of an identification since every other one was considered litvish (Lithuania was half the area the AR was expected to bring to chasidus) – rather they are called either ‘veltishe’/aylomshe’
I.E. rest of the jewish world or misnagdim if tey still opposed chasidus
sorry for comenting such a megilleh on such an old post but it takes a while for us alte kakers to travel on this modern super – high- way and once we arrive, u prob wanna hear everything from when we were ur age….
