My brother needs to borrow a large internal frame backpack

My brother is going on a trip with the Jewish Outdoors Club to climb Mount Ranier- and he needs a 5500 cubic inch internal frame backpack. He just wants to borrow one- since he normally only does 5 day trips and never needs one so large. If anyone has one to lend or knows of anyone who may have one- please email me ASAP.

My brother is 5″4 so if anyone is between the heights of 5″1 and 5″6 it will do- ladies and gents either or.

  1. Don’t have a backpack, but fyi, there is a treehouse inn at Mt. Rainier. You can stay overnight.

  2. Uh my brother is climbing the glacier- its an expert mountaineering trip, you have to be an experienced climber as well as able to do mixed ascent (ice and rock climbing) Not an inn type trip

  3. I know. I wasn’t envisioning him in the treehouse on the actual trip, but it’s worth noting for others who care. I think I get that the two of you are not the inn type. The treehouse isn’t really a cushy deal. But, I get that it’s cushier than you guys. Kol Hakovod.

  4. Hell, you know what? Check out the cedar creek treehouse site and the stairway to heaven photo gallery that’s on it. I don’t really know a guy out there that wouldn’t want to reconnect with his treehouse soul as an adult. And then, don’t forget, even a true outdoorsy woman would find this fun. What was that old Irish Spring commercial? “And I like it too!”

  5. I hope that your brother enjoys his climb. I have tried the climb twice and still haven’t made the summit. The last time was about 22 years ago and I pooped out at around 12,000 feet. I just wasn’t in good enough shape. It’s still on my todo list.
