Every week, I see hundreds of page views for the divrei Torah but there’s frequently only 10 comments or so, and half of them are my responses (as my wife likes to remind me when I quote to her the number of comments).  Even when I write a particularly controversial piece and the comments reach as high at 60 or so, it’s still 50% me, and the other half is usually the one guy (or girl) with whom I am heavily engaged in a debate — so, in general, I thought I’d try to find out what people have to say about what I have to say.

Perhaps readers don’t feel at liberty to comment in general when the topic is so narrow focused, so here’s your chance.

A good Shabbos to all!

  1. Let’s try that again —
    Here’s the template:
    Excellent
    x Very Good
    Good
    Fair
    Poor
    Copy, paste, and vote!

  2. Your posts are well written and very well researched. Of course, I disagree with you outlook, so I rarely read them, comment even less.

I;m guessing that most viewers are looking for laughs when they visit this site. As many don’t share your views any many other aren’t interested, the results are inevitable.

If you search some of the older posts for “schwartzie’s” dvar Torah’s, they were extremely funny. Of course, they weren’t real dvar Torahs, they were satire which I didn’t always agree with, but they were still funny.

  3. Your divrei Torahs are good. They’re rarely satirical, which means I don’t have the need to make a snide comment.

  4. More insight that your standard dvar Torah, so that is good. I have zero patience for regurgitative divrei Torah.

O’course, I think you are usually wrong, for one reason or another. But I think that about most other opinions, so don’t take it personally. Sometimes your questions are lousy, which explains the poor answers.

  5. I come here for laughs; not really interested in a dvar torah. Though I may click on the page just to quickly see what it’s about.

  6. Very good.
Except the purim one which is in a league of its own, probably best dvar torah ive ever heard, ever.

  7. Your posts are too long. They remind me of my posts that are also long. But strangely I love my long posts. I know, what a sucky thing to say. So here’s the pot calling our to the shvarze kettle — shorter is better. Now if only I’d listen to my brilliant advice.

    1. YES!
I prefer my dvar torahs carlebach-style.Short enough to repeat over a lchaim or at a kumzitz.

  8. I come here for satire, for torah theres chabad.org…. So ive never even opened your articles

  9. I usually enjoy what you write. I do not want or believe it must be taken apart word for word as some of your readers do. I just enjoy it for what it is. I only comment if there is something I totally disagree with. Thank you for your time and effort.

  10. I really enjoy this site! Sorry that I never comment even though I like reading the comments too. (By the way, I think you are really awesome for having this blog…Thanks!!)
