I guess last weeks post pissed people off enough to make someone create a false email address and email me posing as a Yeshiva World News editor, claiming that someone had emailed him the link to my post VIN vs. YWN.
I was honored to say the least and then when Dov Bear who is also a staunch Yeshiva World News critic told me that the email address should have been something@yeshivaworld.com instead of the gmail address it was- I was even more honored that a website that gets 5 million hits a month would go through the trouble to try and “talk” to me off the record. I assume they were kind of mad that number 5,6, and 7 in google is taken up by that article.
I must say that this seems like an ill attempt at shutting the critics up. But that is the brilliance of blogs and web user generated content, it creates a kind of transparency that news agencies (I wouldn’t really call Yeshiva World News a news agency) never had to deal with before.
If you can’t take the heat get out of the kitchen: Maybe they will write a post condemning me – I davened for that this morning.

As far as the email address is concerned, I happened to know that that is his real one m though I do wonder why he wouldn’t use something more professional like editor@theyeshivaworld.com.
The way I know is because I was involved in a search for a missing person this past summer, and that was the address to which we sent updates and photos of the missing person to post on his website.

Yup, it’s the real deal, I’ve gotten the same sort of crap from the “editor”. YW is owned and operated by yehuda eckstein, of 26th street in flatbush (and formerly of flatbush hatzala) zevy zwieg works for him, doing menial chores such as approving comments and such crap. my guess is, the filthy lowlife editor wrote that email himself, and signed it with this other guys name, it has all the marks of the uneducated editor written all over it.
And yes, yweditor2@gmail.com is the editors email, if you ever want to contact him directly feel free to do so.
Doesn’t sound very intimidating to me, you should play along to see what he has to say. I can’t see why they would be worried about what you think, their target audience is quite different from yours.
Also, they know about freedom of speech as well as anyone else. They have no trouble posting all kinds of things about anyone, so why should you?

I use Hamercaz.com too. It is the only place where you can find a story about the Satmar Rebbe right next to one about Rabbi Riskin or someone like that.
But they have no comments. So I still need to go to VIN to let everyone hear my brilliant thoughts.

Shouldn’t they giving editors real email addresses? I am cheap and poor with technology so I use gmail but if I was really professional I would use editor@frumsatire.net – so to these guys should be using @yeshivaworld.com or whatever.
Gmail is a powerful tool. I use about 10 different addresses for many different sites I run, most get routed through Gmail which cleans out the spam, then popped from my Outlook so I don’t need to log in to Gmail and I can answer them from the original email address they were sent to. I can also check them when I’m home or on the road by logging in to Gmail. Best of all it’s free.
The level of racism is reaching a peak today on YWN, as they all pretend that McCain still has a chance to win against what they perceive as the worst evil ever: Black, Muslim, Socialist, etc.
I cant wait until tomorrow when they have to admit that their pathetic masturbatory delusions of victory were embarrassing at best.
And, speaking of the gullibility of the Bimbo from Alaska, how dumb are the editors when they prefer to conduct a conversation “off the record” via email. WTF?
Don’t see why you would be ashamed to be Jewish simply because of what some Jews think of Obama. Fact is he has close ties to muslims, anti American preachers, socialists, and possibly many other shady we things we don’t know about yet.
Sad thing is he’ll probably win, and very likely be one of the worst presidents your country has ever had, especially in regards to Jews and Israel in particular. I wouldn’t be surprised if the clan or some other deranged supremacists attempt to assassinate him either.
Not that McCain sounds much better, at least he seems to have better ethics and moral standards.

much as I was interested in your original post, you’re taking a dangerous step with this one by publishing a private email publicly like this. in all honesty he didn’t tell you not to write, just asked to speak with you. ultimately that might’ve been the best chance to push for some changes on his site if that’s what you want.
now you are on their hitlist, and probably will lose potential influence.

ha that is their email address, they sent me an email back in the day claiming that i stole news from them.. i own http://www.yeshivishnews.com .. i have stopped posting news only since i became to busy but when i used to they sent me a letter claiming that i was breaking copyright rules after that i got a letter from their “lawyer” probably some made up name to
